We have a pile of about 50 boxes, four rolls of packing tape, and two giant Sharpie markers in the living room ready for packing. Some boxes have already been packed. Day 3 hike was a bit of a dud - only because it was raining, cool and I was exhausted! Yet, the challenge was completed - 3 days, 3 new hikes. I am so tired and I have a TERRIBLE headache but I am glad to say I am that much closer to being ready for the move. It is only 3 or 4 days away! October 16, 2016. The little girls were totally excited to see that their little friend came to visit them today. They played outside all day and came running in to make sure that I got a picture of them all together so that they would remember her after we move.

Sunday, June 18, 2017. I will be taking a little blog break to heal. A marriage has ended and a family is broken. My heart feels like a gaping wound. Pinch myself here in this little blog window. Is it really true? Sadly, it is. I never dreamed such sorrow could consume me once again. I remember similar feelings after my late husband was tragically killed. Here I am losing a beloved spouse in a different way.

I absolutely love learning about the world. I love exploring other cultures and examining topography. I love reading about people that are different from me. Geography is one of my favorite subjects. I have reviewed Carole P. Before and I love them so much! She offers more than just geography books.
